Miss Karen

Miss Karen founded the dance school in September 1993 before passing over the reigns to former student, Kirsty, in August 2020, who then went on to rebrand the Dance School to Starlight Dance Academy.

Miss Karen still enjoys coming to watch our students in festivals and showcases, and we love inviting her to special events, like our inaugural Presentation Ceremony, where we introduced special trophies to honour Pauline and Janet, who were lifelong supporters of the school.

Whilst no longer teaching full time, we love that Miss Karen comes in to provide cover from time to time and that we can continue the legacy that she created to nurture, inspire and achieve, always.
